Holiday Festivities to feature 100th Anniversary of Glen Cove’s Tree of Light, First Annual Merry Tree Festival, Winter Wonderland Event, Milk & Cookies with Santa and More!

November 18, 2015…The City of Glen Cove, Glen Cove Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Business Improvement District have joined together to invite Glen Cove and area residents to celebrate the holiday season in Glen Cove.  “We are excited to offer an array of holiday events and activities that appeal to children of all ages,” said Mayor Reggie Spinello. “Glen Cove is the perfect holiday destination as there are great shops and boutiques, restaurants and with the 100th Anniversary of our Tree of Light, we are introducing our first Merry Tree Festival.” Local businesses have sponsored and will creatively decorate over 40 living Christmas Trees for a spectacular display on School and Glen Streets.” With the support of Glen Cove’s Parks & Recreation department and its Beautification Commission, after the holiday season, the trees will be placed in City parks and five trees will be planted to start Glen Cove’s first Christmas Tree Farm in Dennis Brian Murphy Park.
