Glen Cove Boxing Club Fighting to Knockout Poverty On November 23rd

2015 11 16 boxing clubNovember 13, 2015…  The Glen Cove Boxing Club is training five boxers to compete in the 12th Annual Long Island Fight for Charity on Monday, November 23, 2015.  These volunteer boxers will climb into the ring with only one thing in mind, raising money for Long Island-based charities.  Since its inception in 2002, LIFFC has raised almost a million dollars and they are hoping this year’s fighters will put them over the mark.  Luis Batres, John Boccio, Chuck Campagna, Susan Vaughan, and Glen Cove’s very own Mike Graziose are all training for the upcoming event at the Glen Cove Boxing Club.  Mayor Spinello dropped in on one of their recent training sessions to wish them well on their journey to the main event.  “Frankie Pena does a great job with the Boxing Club and I’m proud of all of those training for this important charity event.  I’m sure they will make Glen Cove proud on fight night, especially Mike Graziose, Glen Cove’s hometown fighter,” Mayor Spinello said.
