April 24, 2015…Glen Cove Mayor Spinello, Councilman Famighletti, and Councilwoman Panzenbeck joined members of Glen Cove’s Parks & Recreation Department and Beautification Commission to plant a weeping cherry tree in Glen Cove’s Monument Park in celebration of the 45^th anniversary of National Arbor Day.  “Arbor Day reminds us of the importance of trees to our environment and the need to have strong roots within your community.  The dedicated volunteers of our Beautification Commission work year-long to enhance the natural beauty of our city through plantings, managing our community garden and Adopt-a-Spot programs.” said Mayor Spinello.
