Glen Cove Auxiliary Police Appoint New Deputy Chief
April 17, 2015…Frank Pronesti was appointed Auxiliary Police Deputy Chief at the Glen Cove City Council meeting on April 15th. Pronesti was a member of the Auxiliary Police since 1980 but had to resign in 1987 due to job responsibilities with the Long Island Rail Road. “It is great to have Frank back on the team,” said Auxiliary Chief Mike DiLeo. “Working with Frank has always been a pleasure and I look forward to patrolling with him this summer.” Pronesti was sworn in by Mayor Spinello in front of the City Council and community residents. “Frank is dedicated and I’m sure he will make the citizens of Glen Cove proud in his new position as Auxiliary Police Deputy Chief,” said Mayor Spinello. The Auxiliary Police Department is an active part of the Glen Cove community and they can be seen helping to regulate church-related traffic, patrolling the beach during the summer and providing security for other large city-wide events.
