Glen Cove’s Angler Club held their annual Awards Night on Wednesday March 11, 2015 to honor several extraordinary members.  The Angler’s Club is a salt water fishing club which also hosts social gatherings focused on fishing, boating, and the North Shore lifestyle.  Distinguished honorees included Angler of the year Mike Caruso, Outstanding Member of the Year Tom Manzione, and Surf Angler of the Year Frank Pena.  Mayor Spinello was on hand to present several awards.  “The Angler’s Club is a great organization and I was honored to be invited to their Awards Night.  For people on the North Shore the water and marine life is an important part of our culture, and I’m proud to say the Angler’s Club is helping to sustain that base of knowledge.  Their commitment towards sportsmanship and conservation is a great example for our youth,” Mayor Spinello said.
