The Order Sons of Italy in America’s Glen Cove local chapter, Loggia 1016, installed their new officers on Wednesday March 4th, 2015.

Mayor Spinello was in attendance and presented a citation to the Order’s President, Joseph Gallo. Spinello commended the membership on their continued promotion of Italian heritage and their philanthropic efforts. “The Order Sons of Italy in America is a great organization with deep roots here in Glen Cove. Their fundraising efforts and sponsorship of Glen Cove’s Little League is admirable,” said Mayor Spinello. The Order Sons of Italy in America formed its Glen Cove lodge, Loggia Glen Cove, in 1920. It was the first of its kind on Long Island.
