The busy local pharmacy had closed its doors for a month of renovations.  The remodel overhauled the stores floors, shelving, and pharmacy area.  The store reopened on Sunday March 1^st, 2015.  Mayor Spinello and Councilwoman Pamela Panzenbeck visited the store and congratulated Rite Aid’s District Manager Ernie Koenig and Store Manager Edgar Vallejos on their new store.  “It’s always great to see businesses in Glen Cove reinvesting in their infrastructure.  Rite Aid’s choice to invest and improve its store here on Forrest Avenue is yet another sign that Glen Cove is open for business,” Mayor Spinello said.
