Local Cub Scout Pack 6 held its annual Blue and Gold Dinner this evening at St. Rocco’s Church.  The fifth graders in attendance celebrated their transition out of Cub Scouts as all eight boys had attained Weblos status.  All of the scouts who were crossing over received the Cub Scout’s highest award, the “Arrow of Light”.  Mayor Spinello was on hand to celebrate the crossing over ceremony.  “Joining the cub scouts is a time honored tradition here in Glen Cove.  As these boys grow into men, they will be reminded of the leadership values they learned here early on.  I want to thank the pack leaders Michelle Massarrone and Jeff Roditi for their dedication to Glen Cove’s future leaders,” Mayor Spinello said.  The scouts who were honored are Jacen Braja, Lukasz Dubicki, Robert Edelman, Cole Harding, Attila Kutasi, Alexandros Mantikas, Peter Massarrone, and Daniel McFadden.
