Last week, Mayor Reginald Spinello had the pleasure of attending a book signing event in celebration of the latest book written by Joan Harrison. Joan is an author and photographer who has chronicled the history of Glen Cove. She is a professor of art at the C. W. Post Campus of Long Island University. Joan has an extensive collection of photographs of our community from residents and from the Pratt and Morgan families, as well as from the archives of the Glen Cove Library and the North Shore Historical Museum. Proceeds from the sale of her latest book will benefit the SAGE Foundation of the Glen Cove Senior Center.
