On Saturday Jan. 31, the North Shore Historical Museum Board members held a celebration marking the museum's second anniversary. The festivities were held in Glen Cove's historic 1907 Court building which, thanks to the museum board members' hard work and dedication, is the museum's home. Mayor Reginald Spinello is pictured with Brian Mercadante, who took the lead quite a few years ago and brought to reality the idea of a North Shore museum. He served as President from the time the museum was only a dream and is now stepping down. Georgine Connett is the new President. The celebration featured a videographic history of the museum's cultural events and exhibits. The Board members are also pictured during the celebration.
