During a recent City Council meeting, Glen Cove Mayor Reginald Spinello presented a citation to Peter Nicholas Paralikas, a Glen Cove resident and Glen Cove Troop 72’s newly-minted Eagle Scout. Peter’s Eagle Scout project was to design a newsletter, “Conserving Energy at Home,” which incorporates QR code links to YouTube.com video demonstrations by Troop 72. The videos offer information on how to simply and cost effectively upgrade your home to save energy and help the environment. The newsletter includes tips to offset the upgrade costs where rebates are available through PSEG. They were mailed to all homes in Glen Cove. Mayor Spinello congratulated Peter for this outstanding three-month project.
