City of Glen Cove Boat Ramp Docks to be Removed Week of November 17
Attention all boaters: The City of Glen Cove Department of Parks & Recreation will be removing the docks from the City’s Boat Ramp at the end of Garvies Point Road during the week of November 17, 2014 tide and weather permitting.
The weather this fall has been relatively mild, so it was decided to leave the floats in a bit longer this year. Now the time has come to secure them for the winter weather that lies ahead.
In past years, many boaters who moor in Hempstead Harbor have been caught in difficult situations by not having their boats dry docked prior to the dock removal at the City’s Boat Ramp. Please mark your calendars and plan ahead this year.
Any questions or concerns may be directed to Darcy Belyea, Director of Parks & Recreation, at 516-676-3766.
