Mayor Reginald Spinello, the Glen Cove Beautification Commission, the Glen Cove Boys & Girls Club, members of Glen Cove CARES (Cancer Awareness Resource Education Source), Councilwoman Panzenbeck, and Coleen Spinello planted pink tulip bulbs in Glen Cove’s Gardens of Hope last Saturday morning. The Gardens of Hope are a breast cancer awareness effort launched by the founder of Glen Cove CARES, the late Terry Petikas.  Next spring, blooming pink tulips will serve as a reminder that early detection is the best defense in fighting cancer. And where there is awareness, there is hope.
