October 19, 1p.m. to 4 p.m.

On Sunday, October 19, 2014 the Glen Cove Volunteer Fire Department will hold its annual Fire Prevention Open House from 1 to 4 p.m. Residents of all ages are encouraged to attend this event for an informative and fun-filled afternoon.

Everyone will be able to watch several demonstrations which include ones on rope rescue, fire hose handling, car fires, auto extrication, and kitchen stove and oven fires. There will be fire truck rides, and our firefighters will offer safety tips and practical steps to prevent fires at home. In addition to the fire department the Glen Cove Harbor Patrol, Glen Cove CERT Team and Glen Cove EMS will also be at the open house.
