On Saturday afternoon, September 20, 2014, the Long Island Teen Challenge organization held their 18^th annual Rock the Block community outreach program at Kennedy Heights. Sponsored by the Glen Cove Housing Authority; American Legion Young Simmons Post 1765; the Glen Cove Boys and Girls Club; the Glen Cove Youth Bureau; the Glen Cove NAACP; Glen Cove EOC; Alumni for Youth; Glen Cove SAFE, and local churches, it was a wonderful family event. LI Teen Challenge outreach director Ray Rosa and his team of volunteers were on hand to provide the important message of promoting and fostering a drug-free environment for our youth.
