Many of us remember the late Dr. Sidney Canarick, a dentist in Glen Cove for 50 years. He was a star Glen Cove High School football player, an All American at Bucknell, a WWII Navy veteran and a true Glen Cove icon. Well, his grandson, Ross McCalla, is honoring Dr. Canarick in a special way....by opening Sid's All American Café with a full menu that includes his grandfather's favorite: ice cream. Ross represents the fourth generation of the Canarick family and is excited to open his new business adjacent to the city's ball fields where there's a plaque honoring his grandfather as a Glen Cove Hall of Famer.
