Mayor Reginald A. Spinello is pictured with Brian Mercadante in City Hall recently. Mr. Mercadante presented the Mayor with 13 American Flags (in honor of America’s original 13 Colonies) that will be flown on the flagpoles at Danis Park. The new flags are a gift from the Glen Cove Rotary Club and they replace the current ones which will be properly retired. The Glen Cove Rotary has made this donation for 13 years and always prior to Memorial Day to honor our veterans throughout the year. The flags will be installed by the Glen Cove Department of Public Works prior to the Memorial Day weekend.
