Glen Cove VFW James Donohue Post 347 Commander Joe Lavery is pictured with Mayor Reginald A. Spinello at the Post headquarters on Hill Street. Commander Lavery presented the Mayor with one of only 300 raffle tickets available for purchase during the Post’s annual fundraising effort which ends Memorial Day. The winning number will be drawn at the Post headquarters after the Memorial Day Parade on May 26 this year. Tickets are $50 each and can be purchased by calling 676-9641, Post 347 headquarters Proceeds from the fundraiser are used to help the Post with their community activities which include a scholarship for graduating high school seniors.
