Mayor Spinello Congratulates PTA Council Honorees
Mayor Reginald Spinello attended the annual Glen Cove PTA Council fundraiser last week in support of the major PTA event, the proceeds of which benefit the Glen Cove Community Scholarship Fund. Each year, deserving Glen Cove High School seniors are awarded funds through the Community Scholarship organization.
While congratulating each honoree, Mayor Spinello said, “It is my pleasure to recognize individuals for their dedication to our community. Our school district’s students are given the best education by their teachers and every child benefits greatly from the tireless efforts of PTA volunteers.”
The honorees this year, chosen by the PTA Council, are: Nomi Rosen, Principal of Deasy School; Dr. Michael Israel, Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum, Instruction, and Technology; Rosemarie Sekelsky, Principal of Connolly School; Brittany Frank Rifkind, Finley Middle School music teacher; Mary Murphy, Director of Special Education; and Suzanne Anderson, Glen Cove High School PTSA.
