Mayor Spinello Congratulates Taylah Hudson
Mayor Reginald A. Spinello and the Glen Cove City Council are pictured with Taylah Noelle Hudson, a junior in Glen Cove High School. Taylah is a member of the Glen Cove High School Girls’ Varsity Basketball team since the seventh grade and earned All-Conference honors, All-County Honors, and last year was named Conference A-III Player of the Year. Taylah broke the Big Red basketball team’s all-time scoring record this past December. She was selected to the Nassau County All-Star team, plays AAU basketball and is currently on the NYC Riverside Hawks team. Taylah is the 5th leading scorer on Long Island and is tied for third place in the number of assists per game. Taylah holds the Glen Cove High School record for the most points in a single game (32) and has scored 1,014 points in her career. By the way, she will definitely surpass her dad, Glen Cove High School assistant principal Allen Hudson’s, game high of 35! Mayor Spinello congratulated Taylah on both her athletic and academic accomplishments---she has maintained an A- GPA in AP and Honors courses. Also pictured is Glen Cove High School assistant principal Allen Hudson and Coach Greg Mayerhofer.
