Thanks to the Glen Cove Department of Parks and Recreation, sponsors Petco in Glen Cove; Jimmy Coniglione and his staff at Scoopy Doo; and emcee extraordinaire Dale Zurbrick the City of Glen Cove’s fourth annual Howl-o-ween Pet Parade was a tremendous success. Dogs of all sizes and shapes and dressed in their costumes brought their humans downtown to unleash the day’s festivities. And yes, there was one very brave cat that sailed in on the Jolly Roger. Several pet-related vendors were on hand including Green Forest Veterinary Hospital. Leading the pack down Highland Road and School Street was grand marshal, Cooper-the-cheerleader with his owners, Mayor Reginald and Coleen Spinello. City Court Judge Richard McCord once again served as one of the judges in the contests that were held. Pictured are some of the participants and all the winners of: Best Costume; Best Human and Pet Costume combination; Most Exotic Pet; Smallest Pet; Largest Pet; and Most Original Costume contests.
